Our Fundraising Event
The not-for-profit Asheville Radio Museum is pleased to announce a fundraising event to be held on June 7, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at its location on the campus of Asheville-Buncombe Community Technical College (A-B Tech). Proceeds from the sale will enable the museum’s all-volunteer staff to continue acquiring noteworthy and rare radios, audio equipment, and accessories for public display and education. The museum, which has a five-star rating on Google, will be open during the fundraising event.
This event will be fun for the whole family, hams, and vintage radio collectors. Items for sale include ham and shortwave radios and related products priced between $10 and $500 and many antique radios and accessories priced between $65 and $150. Many items are fully functional, while others must be lightly or fully restored. Museum technical experts can provide information on each item and, if necessary, guidance about its restoration. The fundraising sale also includes the museum’s popular “Schematic T-Shirt” (photos below), priced at $20.
The museum is located in Asheville in the A-B Technical College (Elm classroom building, room 306). You can park for free in the nearby school parking garage (set your map app to 16 Fernihurst Drive). Cash only, please.
